                       Donations

An average of 320 households made up of over 1,300 individuals receive food each month. You can help by making a financial contribution or by donating un-expired canned goods, fruits, meats, vegetables and dairy products as well as already prepared foods that have been made in a commercial kitchen. Also needed are: hygiene and cleaning supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap,  toilet paper and paper towels.

Non-perishable donations can be dropped off in the Food Bank entryway at 10 Frederick Rd. or in the donations shed. Perishable donations can be dropped off on Tuesday and Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

                             THANK YOU!

The Thurmont Food Bank has a dedicated group of volunteers who work all week long to collect, organize and distribute food to our neighbors in need.

From time to time we need volunteers for various jobs. If you would like to volunteer you can come by the food bank one hour before we open and speak to our director and get a tour. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

We always need donations of food so we appreciate individuals and organizations that sponsor food drives.
